About Integrated Sphere Testing Services

At CTL, all photometry parameters like Total Luminous Flux, Luminous Intensity Distribution, Luminous Efficacy, Color Characteristics can be tested in Integrated Sphere for performance testing of Lamp/Luminaries. This test is covered in LM 79, IS 16106, IS 16102 (Part 2), IS 15111(Part 2), IS 2418 and various other Indian as well as International Standards.

Integrating Sphere is used for a variety of optical, photometric or radiometric measurements. It can be used to measure the diffuse reflectance of surfaces, providing an average over all angles of illumination and observation.

Comprehensive Photometric Testing Solutions

Our integrated sphere testing provides essential photometric analysis, including lumen output, color uniformity, and light distribution. With a medium-size metal and composite sphere, we accommodate a range of lighting products for both routine evaluations and advanced research, ensuring accurate data for performance validation.

Precision with Standard Interface and Advanced Technology

Using a photometric integrator with a standard electrical interface, our service delivers reliable measurements across a standard evaluation range. The system operates at 220-240 V, 50 Hz, and is capable of handling substantial power loads, guaranteeing both accuracy and operational stability during each test cycle.

Located in India, we serve a wide range of manufacturers, designers, and R&D establishments. Our testing facility combines trained professionals and state-of-the-art technology in a controlled, ambient temperature environment, ensuring consistent and reliable results for all your luminaire testing requirements.

FAQs of Integrated Sphere Testing Services:

Q: How does the integrated sphere testing process work for lighting products?

A: The integrated sphere uses a combination of metal and composite materials along with a photometric integrator to capture light emitted from your product. It measures total luminous flux, light distribution, and color properties within a controlled ambient temperature environment, ensuring accurate photometric evaluation.

Q: What types of applications or devices can be tested using this service?

A: Our medium-sized sphere is suitable for a broad range of lighting devices, including LED luminaires, bulbs, and fixtures. Its designed for manufacturers and researchers aiming to analyze the photometric performance and light distribution of various lighting products.

Q: When should a manufacturer or designer use integrated sphere testing services?

A: Integrated sphere testing is essential both during product development for design verification and before product launch for compliance checking. It is also useful for routine quality control or when comparing product performance with industry standards.

Q: Where is your integrated sphere testing facility located?

A: Our services are based in India and cater to clients across the country. The facility is equipped with heavy-duty, mounted integrated spheres, ensuring safety and stability throughout the testing process.

Q: What is the standard measuring range, and how does it benefit my product analysis?

A: The system supports a standard photometric measuring range that covers most commercial and industrial lighting products. This enables precise lumen and light distribution measurements, helping you optimize designs and meet regulatory requirements.

Q: How do clients benefit from your integrated sphere testing services?

A: Clients receive verifiable photometric data that can assist in quality assurance, product development, and regulatory compliance. Our analysis ensures your products perform as intended and meet the needs of end users and market standards.
