| CTL has the facilities for Ingress Protection to Solid Objects and Water, like Dust Test chamber, Rain Test setup, Balls, Probes etc. The level of protection of a product is signified by a number like IP1X to IP 6X & IP X1 to IP X8 where the first number is the ingress protection against solid bodies, and the second number is protection against liquids. |

In Ingress protection, products used both, indoors or outdoors, are tested against "ingress," that is, the products resistance to water, dust and foreign objects. There are several reasons for ingress testing, these include, safety, functionality, product marketing among others. Depending on its usage, Different products require different levels and types of testing.
